Application of Laser Welding in Electric Vehicle Battery Manufacturing: A Review

چکیده

Electric vehicle battery systems are made up of a variety different materials, each system contains hundreds batteries. There many parts that need to be connected in the system, and welding is often most effective reliable connection method. Laser has advantages non-contact, high energy density, accurate heat input control, easy automation, which considered ideal choice for electric manufacturing. However, metal materials used electrodes connectors connect not same, so welded together effectively. Welding associated with various difficulties challenges, as more intermetallic compounds formed, some can affect microstructure, electrical thermal properties joint. Because common material housing steel aluminum other refractory metals, it will also face problems. In this paper reviews, challenges latest progress laser between busbar pole same reviewed. The metallographic defects mechanical joint discussed.
